What arrives every month

Five answers, two minutes to read.

01

Filtered counts

Traffic after automated visitors and identified owner traffic are filtered out. Counts you can repeat back to someone with a straight face.

02

New vs returning

Anonymous visitor IDs — tracked browsers, not verified people. I say it exactly that way on the board, too.

03

Where they came from

Google, social, direct-or-unknown — referrers are never complete, and the board says which is which.

04

Did the thing happen?

The one action you care about — a call tap, a form, a booking — instrumented at setup and reported every month once it's verified firing.

05

The next test

One recommended, best-supported thing to try — and next month's board shows whether it moved.

A real board — mine

This is my own site's board. Small numbers and all.

Owner Proof Board — Tech Quest (my own site)

Sample report — a real generated window (ending 2026-08-10), shown as an example of the monthly report clients receive · first-party, no visitor cookies · after automated-traffic and owner filters

  • 7 recorded visits in the parser's rolling recent-window “week” count.
  • 0 recorded visits today at generation time.
  • Sessions and tracked-browser count: not included in this parser output.
  • Paired page-timing coverage: not included in this parser output.
  • Primary-goal status: not included in this parser output.
This snapshot does not support a behavioral read. A behavioral read starts at 30 sessions and 15 tracked browsers; full narration starts at 100 sessions and 30 tracked browsers. This refresh has visit counts only, not the session and browser fields needed to apply those thresholds. Counts and field availability only. No invented insights.

Generated by the Tech Quest first-party analytics engine (self-hosted, no visitor cookies). Automated traffic and owner visits filtered. Anonymous visitor IDs are tracked browsers, not verified people. No ad-performance claims — this measures the site only.

Why show you a modest recent window? Because a report that labels its period and missing fields honestly is more useful than one that dresses incomplete data up as insight. That refusal is the feature.

The improvement loop

A report alone changes nothing. The loop does.

Setup, done honestly. I install the beacon (no visitor cookies, no third-party trackers), agree with you on the one action that counts for your business — call tap, form, booking — and verify it actually fires before the first board ships.

The board arrives monthly. Plain English, two-minute read, month-over-month movement once there's a month to compare.

One recommended test. The best-supported next move — sometimes a page fix, sometimes "your instrumentation is broken," sometimes "keep collecting, here's why."

You approve any work. The report and the recommendation are included. If the fix is something you want built, that's separate scoped work you green-light first — and the next board shows whether the numbers moved — same honest thresholds, and movement is what the data did, not proof the fix alone caused it.

Straight questions

Asked before you had to ask.

What is the Owner Proof Board?
A monthly, plain-English website report for business owners. It shows what visitors did on your site — after automated traffic and identified owner visits are filtered — what changed since last month, and the single best-supported thing to test next.

How is this different from Google Analytics?
It runs on Tech Quest’s own server with a lightweight beacon that sets no visitor cookies — no third-party trackers, no ad-network scripts. And it’s a report a human reads in two minutes, not a dashboard you never open. When there isn’t enough data to support a conclusion, the board says so instead of inventing insights.

What if my site doesn’t get much traffic yet?
That’s a finding, not a failure. Below 30 sessions the board reports counts and instrumentation health on a rolling 90-day window and tells you exactly what’s missing. That answers the first question honestly: whether your problem is visitors, or what the site does with them.

Does this measure my ads?
No. It measures your own website only and makes no ad-performance or attribution claims. It’s the instrumentation you want in place before you spend on ads — so you can tell whether anything changed.

The boundaries (read them — they're the product)

  • Your site only. No ad-performance or attribution claims, ever. This is the instrumentation you want before ad spend.
  • Hypotheses, not mind-reading. Analytics sees what visitors did — not why. A weak conversion rate is a lead to investigate, never a verdict.
  • Low traffic is a finding. Under 30 sessions, the board reports counts and instrumentation health on a rolling 90-day window and says exactly what's missing.
  • Your visitors stay anonymous. No cookies for visitors, no cross-site tracking, anonymous IDs only. Data lives on my server, not an ad network's — and you can ask for it deleted anytime.
